After trying all the premium anti-virus programs out there, I'm sticking with ESET for now. Kaspersky was another good one, but it's a little more cumbersome and resource hungry. ESET dows the job simple and effeciently.

I've been using NOD32 for Windows 7 for over a year now with no issues. Definitely doesn't slow down my computer like Mcafee did. Also I think it's protection is better than some other free alternatives like AVG. Besides the free version of AVG always tries to get you to upgrade and the daily updates are intrusive. Win for ESET.

When I was a Windows Admin, I used Nod32 as a fast alternative to the other bloated antivirus suites. It was always very good.
